Abstract :
A reflector surface must, by definition, reflect microwave radiation but it must also fulfil a number of other equally important requirements. This paper considers the types of surfaces currently available that meet these requirements and the methods used to produce them. However, there is a great deal of work currently being done developing new types of cost effective reflecting surfaces, primarily for DBS, Receive Only antennas and this work may provide viable alternatives in the near future
