Abstract
500 Gb/s, over 4000 km transmission was moderated with 22 nm-bandwidth EDFAs and low dispersion slope fiber. By reducing the dispersion slope and fiber nonlinearity, the transmission distance was almost doubled compared to the previous experiments with similar capacity.
