Abstract
The radiation fields of the biconical horn antenna with oblique edges are derived by using both the field of an equivalent Huygens source on the aperture and the field of the infinite biconical horn antenna with a TEM wave. The numerical and experimental patterns of the biconical horn antenna with oblique edges are presented. The curves of the front-to-back ratio for various cone lengths are also shown. It is shown that, by means of the oblique edges, one can obtain the asymmetrical radiation pattern on both the azimuthal and the elevation planes.<>
