Abstract :
The costs associated with instrumented mooring deployments and recoveries are compared using two differing approach philosophies. The first, somewhat standard, approach uses relatively heavy, complex instrumentation and support methods. The second approach incorporates the use of much lighter and less complex instrumentation with attendant reduced support requirements.
