Abstract
Considers the structure of the human brain at three levels: 1. The individual components (neurones) that comprise the circuitry. 2. Groups of components (neurones) which form modules that may have highly specific functional processing capabilities. 3. Regions of brain containing many components or groups of components, each region possessing a defined functional processing capability. Overall brain function results from the cooperative interactions of a number of brain regions
