The development planning of Railway Port Economic Zone in Loudi

Port planning directly impacts on the development of urban economy and regional economy. In order to fully fulfill the function of port, the author puts forward two new planning concepts: Railway-Port-Economic-Zone (RPEZ) & Special-Economic-Operation-Body (SEOB) to replace the traditional ideas. According to the above ideas, the author discusses the calculation method of land-using areas of Loudi RPEZ, and find out that Loudi RPEZ needs 277.7hm² of land. Meanwhile, the author also expounds the planning structure, the function distribution and the important construction contents of Loudi RPEZ. The results show that the planning can meet the demand of rapid development of Loudi RPEZ in the next 20 years, and it can strongly promote the economic development of Central Hunan, especially of Loudi Economic Development Zone.
