  • Abstract
An introductory course in Power Systems was conceived at the University of North Florida (UNF) because power companies have power-generating plants in Jacksonville, the location of UNF. The course, Introduction to Power Systems is offered for the third year as an elective for students in the Systems Design track. In order to satisfy the design component requirement of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET), students are required to write a computer program to implement the power flow of a sample power system. This paper presents the delivery and students´ perception of the course
