Abstract :
Three active integrated optical waveguide (AIOW) characteristics are examined. The first represents the transparency condition of the guide, the second shows typical input/output characteristics of the guide, whilst the third looks at crosstalk and intermodulation effects when an AIOW is used in a WDM system
