Abstract :
This paper considers the design of transmitters and receivers in the downlink of multiuser MIMO systems. Unlike conventional methods, our optimization problem is under the constraint of total transmit power for all users which enables dynamic power allocation. To reduce the complexity of iterative algorithm, optimum receivers are first derived as function of transmitters. Specifically, optimum receivers are considered under minimum mean square error (MMSE) criteria and individual zero-forcing (IZF) constraint. The close-form solution of optimum transmitter is further derived based on these two categories of receivers. In addition, we show the structure of optimum transceiver and reveal the relation between different measures of quality, namely, MSE and SINR. Both analysis and simulation results have shown the superiority of the proposed method both in terms of complexity and performance
