Abstract :
Generalised analysis of second-order single-amplifier filter sections with two free passive parameters leads to exact optimisation of both sensitivity and noise performance. This resolves a longstanding discrepancy in the literature and permits practical trade-offs in design. Noise levels are also compared with those of multiple-amplifier filters
