Abstract :
Dissolved oxygen (DO) is the molecular oxygen that dissolves in water and it is an indispensable condition for aquatic life to survive. The dissolved oxygen content is closely related to the degree of organic pollution in water, so it is also one of the important parameters to measure the water quality. In this work, a kind of water dissolved oxygen detecting instrument was designed. The detector used the optical oxygen sensor which was based on the principle of fluorescence quenching, with advantages such as quick detection, high precision, less oxygen consumption in operating and so on. The integrated mixed-signal system-on-chip C8051F040 of Cygnal Company used can simplify the circuit design and reduce the cubage of underwater detecting instrument for its small cubage. The instrument was able to real time monitor the concentration of dissolved oxygen in water on-line. Combination of photoelectric detection technology and wireless data communication technology, numbers of instruments were located in different locations in a water field and the data was sent to the monitoring center of the upper machine through the cable connection and wireless transmission modules. The data transmitted by each detewireless transmission modulesction spot underwater would be further processed by the upper machine.
