Abstract
A low-noise preamplifier with differential input and differential output is designed for a telecommunications application. Simulated input referred noise is less than 7 nV/√Hz. The gain of 25 is set by resistive feedback. Simulations show the linear output range of the operational amplifier designed for the preamplifier to be ±5.5 V when the balance level is O V, and the DC amplification is 96 dB. The phase margin is 86° if an amplification of 25 is used. Simulated white noise at the input to the operational amplifier is <4 nV/√Hz
