Abstract :
Accurate prediction of farfield pattern is a vital process in assessing the performance characteristics of antennas. All the important factors which degrade the antenna´s performance are encoded in the farfield pattern. At mm-wave frequencies the phase measurements are either impossible or unreliable and thus the prediction of farfield patterns becomes a nonlinear process which requires two stages for the solution. In the first stage an accurate estimate of the aperture phase data is obtained from near field amplitude scan, using an iterative error reduction technique and in the second stage aperture fields are transformed to the farfield to predict the pattern
