  • Abstract
Chemical deicing salt was one of the main ways for highway snow shovel, but its effect on soil and environment around also was paid more and more attention in recent time. Based on filed sampling and indoor analysis, effect of chemical deicing salt application after big snow in 2008 on soil was analyzed, and its damages was evaluated. Results indicated that along the road area, on the site of K51, K71, K91 and K108, salt content on central green belt was much higher than that on the road sides. Salt damages evaluation showed us that on these sites, such salt content had some restrictions on the plant growth; while it will not affect plant growth along the road sides as for its lower salt content.
