Abstract
A novel mechanism has been proposed in this paper to set up diverse connections across ASON networks. The two connections sharing no common links or transport network elements enable complete end-to-end diversity over ASON architecture that including UNIs diversity, ENNIs diversity and diversity inside vendor´s transport network. The proposed mechanism also pays attention to the network security by restricting intra topological information in the vendor´s transport network
