  • Abstract
    The SECI model of knowledge sharing was reviewed firstly, and based on two knowledge transformation cycles in SECI a mechanism of knowledge sharing for collaborative product design(CPD) under manufacturing supply chain environment was proposed which is a process of group cooperation in the each stage of design it needs the participation of different designer and all kinds of technical personnel and suppliers and customers. Secondly, the organizational barrier on knowledge sharing for CPD was analyzed and the organizational strategy for supporting knowledge sharing from the demand of knowledge repository was proposed. The research shows the development of Internet and information technology provides the platform of learning communication and the domination of tacit knowledge for the organization, but the effective implementation of knowledge sharing also need of the corresponding organizational support and the application of Web.
