Abstract :
The paper shows how the organizing of a PD project was perceived by the project members and what effects it had on creativity. The project had chosen a traditional way of efficient organizing, based on processes and methods with carefully prepared plans, specifications and high levels of control. Surprising technical difficulties occurred within the project which pointed at the importance of creativity also in later phases of PD development. The results reveal that the opportunities for creativity were impaired within the project due to lack of clarity in goals and limitations in problem solving.
