Abstract
In this paper, a new design method for a self- repairing control system (SRCS) with an adaptive tuner is developed for accommodation of actuator failures. The proposed SRCS can detect an abrupt actuator failure with no a priori information about the plant, and switch from the failed actuator to the available one. Introduction of the adaptive tuner makes it possible to cope with unknown parameter variations caused by actuator failures.
