Abstract :
Based on a new approach to constrained optimization, an efficient technique for the generation of useful tradeoff information is presented. The method described can be used to predict the tradeoff curve over quite a large range of the performances involved. The prediction range can be extended by introducing more optimizations at appropriate points within the range of interest. This method can also serve as a facility for identifying realistic (e.g., preferred) components by providing the corresponding change in the design variables
