Abstract
A comparison is made of various echo canceller structures based on stochastic gradient search adaptive algorithms. These algorithms have been widely used in various adaptive filtering concepts like system identification and equalization. Due to full-duplex transmission over 2-wire connections, echo cancellation structures are considered. These structures allow transmission simultaneously in both directions using the complete channel bandwidth. The example selected is the full-duplex 2-wire CCITT V32-based modem environment used on private networks as well as PSTN connections
