Abstract
The PV modules are wired together into electrical circuits or array to provide the necessary voltage and/or current. Since shading conditions cause high loss in performance, oversizing of the system is always a costly alternative. Based on the advanced modeling of cells, the concept of interconnected modules are analyzed under normal and fault condition. The interconnected array is simulated and tested under different insolation levels to evaluate the performance under faulty conditions by numerical methods. The power loss is compared within transition and after fault clearing regions. The simulation is done using MATLAB and experimental verification is included.
