Abstract :
The experimental lifetime predictive equation for a piggyback PZT actuator was obtained. It agrees with Arrhenius´ equation. The lifetime of our developed actuator was estimated longer than 5 years under heavy conditions. This lifetime prediction method is useful to design the piggyback PZT actuator for HDDs.
