Abstract
The paper is concerned with the inherent difficulties of controlling requirements analyses. After declaring some assumptions and assertions concerning the requirements analysis process and information systems, it explores the nature of the control problem and postulates reasons for loss of control. This is followed by an outline of the CORE requirements analysis method and discussion of features of this method which facilitate the control of an analysis
