Abstract :
A generalized parallel processing structure and its corresponding architecture for carrying out different 2-D windowing processes in real-time or near real-time are presented. The architecture allows a sequential input but processes the data in a very high degree of parallelism and pipelining and has high flexibility in adapting to the dimensional change of the target data array. It also exhibits a high degree of modularity and regularity for VLSI implementation
