  • Abstract
    A small, specialized image processing system is presented which is implemented by using a single-chip Intel8031 microcomputer and a Texas TMS32020 microprocessor. With this design the TMS32020 used as a microprocessing unit can provide an efficient implementation of the numeric and pixel-processing capabilities required. The Intel8031 used as the host processor controls all the digitization, storage and display operation. Experiments indicate that this system possesses advantages such as high speed, easy control, and low cost
