  • Abstract
Knowledge management, six sigma, sustainable development. Three sets of words that are the pursuits of today´s organizations. The essence of this paper is to show how one small to medium-sized enterprise (SME) using six sigma as an enabler via breakthrough improvement, created new knowledge contributing towards a cultural ethos that was endemic to sustainable development. It discusses issues that a SME need to consider when striving for such a goal.
