Abstract :
This paper studies the usage of DVB-RCS resource request mechanisms for carrying Internet traffic. An approach based on using rate based (RBDC) requests for traffic with quality of service requirements, and volume based (VBDC) requests for best effort traffic is proposed and evaluated for a corporate scenario
