Abstract
Many firms have used information technology systems to eliminate or reduce inventory. Supply chain management integrates the supplier, distributor, and customer logistic requirements into a single system. The goal of this paper is to develop a model where a company can utilize an established wholesale or service network and create franchises to reduce operating costs. This model drives the traditional organizations to change. Its implementation provides the organization flexibility in managing the supply chain at a higher level.
