Abstract :
Space-time block codes (STBC) is a technique for transmission over fading channel using multiple transmit and receive antennas. Turbo space-time block codes provide an additional coding gain over the conventional diversity gain. In this paper, the performance of preprocessed turbo space-time block codes is examined. The signals are preprocessed before transmission, at the base station, so that the mobile station can employ a simple receiver and save in power consumption. The performance of the proposed preprocessed turbo space-time block codes is investigated for different geometries and different coding rate.
