Abstract :
A tunable matching network selection rationale is given. Specific emphasis is dedicated towards MEMS components in the FM band. An extremely useful and important result is reached proving that minimal number of components is required to match a range of loads in the complete band. The design approach is more accurate than the Smith chart approach and takes into account parasitic effects. The network can be used in intelligent RF front ends.
