Abstract :
Peer-to-Peer (P2P) technology has seen its great popularity for resource sharing in current network services. However, lack of elaborated trust and secure architecture in P2P networks has considerably restricted its broad application. In this paper, we propose a secure and trustworthy architecture - CommuTrust, which can be used in community-based P2P overlay networks. We first provide a new trust model to measure the reputation of peers iteratively by taking into account three trust metrics: peer behavior credential, community credential and recommendation credential. Next we propose the implementation of such a trust model over community-based P2P structures, where data transaction is performed based on intra- and inter-community credentials. Simulation results show that our architecture is highly efficient and robust to identify malicious nodes.
