Abstract :
The paper takes the Lake Murray in Central South Carolina of USA for example, fully analyzes the process of the dam breach. It mainly adopts hydraulics and founds the Saint Venant equations, considering the flux of the flood, water level and landform, etc. It describes the flood routing through the back flow model, flow balance conflux model. The simulation results of the model indicates that it could exactly simulate this type of problem of flood routing, which is valuable for reference to other similar fluvial systems.
