Abstract
In this paper, the authors presented a methodology permitting automatic generation of geographically distributed, SystemC simulation models for IP/SoC design. The SystemC simulation model as a client/server application, where the clients are the IPs composing the system was constructed. The server in a SystemC synchronization module drives the simulation process. The communication between SystemC simulators residing on distant hosts is realized by using sockets. The effectiveness of our approach is shown on a version of a packet rooting switch composed by four processors and one shared memory.
