  • Abstract
    This paper describes a new method for embedding information in color images. S-CIELAB color metric is used for measuring color reproduction errors between digital watermarked images and their original ones. It is used in this paper to embed a watermark adaptively in an image without affecting the perceptual quality of the underlying host image according to their error values. It is a blind method in that the retrieval of embedded watermark does not need the original image. Experimental results show that the proposed watermarking scheme is robust against Gaussian noise addition, JPEG compression with high quality factors, and sharpening.
