Abstract :
This paper presents the design of an adaptive filter which minimizes the effect of interference between two OFDM systems. The proposed adaptive filter can recover a real WiMedia OFDM signal from a WiMedia signal interfered by a WiMAX OFDM signal in order to achieve a good coexistence and cooperation between these two communication technologies. Cooperation means integration of both OFDM signals into a device able to use efficiently these two different OFDM links. To study the performance of the proposed filter, both WiMAX and WiMedia OFDM signals are modeled and simulated on MATLAB and, in order to define its effectiveness, the BER analysis of the WiMedia is given according to the interfering WiMAX signal power.
