Abstract :
Many controlling structural and geotechnical design conditions associated with the construction and operation of offshore petroleum production facilities in the Beaufort Sea are highly dependent on the expected impact speeds of multiyear ice floes during the summer months. An idealization of a multiyear ice floe impact is described.
