Abstract :
In this paper, a new spike edged rectangular patch antenna is presented. The proposed antenna is designed on a single layer (FR4) substrate with dimensions of 28 mm × 40 mm and is co-axially fed. The measured results indicate that the antenna covers a band from 4.52 GHz to 4.9 GHz at -10dB return loss resulting in an 8% bandwidth.
