Abstract :
In this paper, a novel Printed Crank-Line Antenna (PCLA) is presented as an inverted microstrip line structure for providing circularly polarized (CP) tilted beam. Novel printed Z-feed is utilized to achieve wideband matching. Axial ratio of the proposed configuration can be controlled with the optimization of printed vertical stub at the terminating end of the crank line antenna. PCLA for RHCP and LHCP configurations are realized to attain beam tilt of 350 in C-band with a measured gain of 8dB. Impedance bandwidth of 20% (3.6 GHz to 4.4GHz) is measured for VSWR <;2.
