Abstract :
For the purpose of investigating the potentiality of conductive materials, dissipative medium model was used to analyze and calculate the microwave transmission properties of multi-layer conductor samples. It seems from the calculation results that even 0.1 μm thin conductive slabs can dissipate 50% of the incident microwave energy. Further analysis on the dependence of sample reflection on conductivity, incident angle, sample thickness and microwave frequency, however, indicates that the effective reflection varies acutely with these factors, and low reflection can be obtained only under harsh conditions. In most cases, as these harsh conditions can nor be satisfied, the effective reflection of conductive slabs usually is much lower than many estimated values in references.
