  • Abstract
The authors have developed a number system, the modified residue number system (MRNS), which is a direct consequence of considering the need for a more convenient folding waveform that can be implemented easily. Through various arrangements of the pairwise relatively prime moduli, a one-to-one correspondence of the MRNS with the RNS framework may be directly established. To demonstrate the usefulness of the MRNS, the increase in resolution and performance of a wideband electrooptical analog-to-digital converter (ADC) after encoding the system with the MRNS, is detailed as an example
