Abstract :
Microstructured polymer optical fibers are offering alternative approach to the conventional silica photonic crystal fibers. This kind of photonic crystal looks very promising in the field of telecommunications and sensing due to possible structure shapes and dopands, which are unreachable by more conventional techniques using silica. However this area is still in the beginning of research and we can only assume which properties will be useful and which will be necessary to restrain. Small part of this area hopefully uncovers this report focused on usability of suspended-core microstructured polymer optical fiber.
