Abstract :
A broadband circularly-polarized (CP) stacked patch antenna to be realized in LTCC (low temperature co-fired ceramic) technology was presented. The proposed antenna was composed of the two-layer stacked patch and LTCC substrate .It was shown that the wide bandwidth was caused by a two-frequency resonance. The CP operation was obtained by cutting corners. Based on the simulation of the proposed antenna, it obtained the impedance bandwidth of 36 MHz (for S11 <; -10 dB) and the gain of 5.69 dBi at 1.27 GHz. Details of the design and characteristics of the proposed antenna were presented and discussed in this paper.
