            Abstract :
We proposed a resource scheduling algorithm based on maximum throughput in Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) based Long-Term Evolution (LTE) networks. The performance of the proposed algorithm is evaluated and compared with conventional maximum carrier-to-interference (C/I or MCI) based scheduling. From the system-level simulation, it is noted that maximum throughput based scheduling provides about 3% user throughput gain and 4% system throughput gain compared with C/I based scheduling.
