Abstract :
Summary form only given. In summary, we demonstrate a simple technique that can be used to monitor the WDM channels using a temperature-tuned solid etalon filter. The frequency and power of each WDM channel can be obtained simply by measuring the optical power transmitted through the etalon filter at several temperatures. The results show that this technique is applicable to the management of WDM networks.
