The Technische Werke der Stadt Stuttgart AG uses the program system ODIN for the optimization of medium-voltage networks with regard to network development. The connection with the graphic network information system to obtain the geographical background-data is illustrated and the necessity of the latter is demonstrated by means of a planning example
