Abstract :
Specific issues of applying a spatially distributed multi-probe system in phased array measurements allowing for faster and more accurate alignment and assessment are examined in this paper. While implementing such systems, special attention should be paid to issues related to calibration and monitoring of multichannel probe and to algorithms of the controlled channel signal isolation, including proper location and number of probe antennas, transfer matrix calibration, development and proper application of normalizing coefficients. The available results show that the application of the spatially distributed multi-probe system in the alignment and testing of phased array antennas provides increased accuracy along with time and cost savings
