Abstract :
Summary form only given. In summary, we compared the cost of ownership (COO) for SuperPON, APON, and hybrid architectures. The COO for different fibre to the curb (FTTC) architectures are comparable, due to dominance of the ONU. The COO of FTTH is about 60% lower than FTTC, because of the absence of location cost for the ONU and a smaller number of users per system. The deployment of FTTH-SuperPON is most cost-effective.
