An agreement was signed between the Acton Urban District Council and the Metropolitan Electricity Supply Company on 24th February, 1904 regarding the provision of electricity for Acton. The foundation stone was laid on 3rd August 1904 together with the first length of mains cable. The author looks at the history of electricity in Acton from then to the present day
