Abstract :
Reports on collaborative work between the University of Durham and Terrington Systems Ltd. in the design of a packet-switched network simulator for Reuter´s Ltd. for performance evaluation of their worldwide dealer network. Particular attention was given to the design of an ergonomically efficient user interface using modern graphical and windowing techniques. The simulator has the ability to study network configurations under both normal and overload conditions and to investigate resilience to failures
