Abstract :
Summary form only given. In order to provide various services efficiently and economically, the PDS optical access networks (PBS-AN) must have high reliability and flexible management from the view point of operation, administration and maintenance (OA and M). Thus the optical access network operation system (OAN-OS) must achieve common and efficient management of various PDS-ANs. This paper presents the OAN-OS based on TMN and OSI system management concepts. The presentation consists of, (1) Requirements for OAN-OS; (2) Network modeling of PDS-AN; (3) Management function allocated to OAN-OS; and (4) Configuration of developed OAN-OS.
